Birdwatchers, stay at Rocklands B&B to do your pelagic sea trips, which leave from Simon's Town Jetty (only 3 kilometres from us) to watch different seagulls, or add some of the following species to your list by just walking around our area - African Black Oyster Catcher, Cape Francolin, Helmeted Guinea Fowl, Spotted Dikkop, Southern Blackbaled Gull, Greyheaded Gull, Rock Pigeon, Cape Turtle Dove, Red Faced Moosebird, White Backed Moosebird, Cape Bulbul, Familiar Chat, Cape Robin, Gas Bird, Karoo Prinza, Cape White Eye, Cape Wagtail, Southern Boubou, Bokmakierie, Malachite Sunbird, Orange Breasted Sunbird, Cape Sugarbird, Lesser Double-Collared Sunbird and Yellow Canary, to mention but a few. |

Information |
Nearby attractions include Cape Point Nature Reserve where many of our guest have spent more than a day or two. Take a late afternoon walk to Boulders Beach (20 minutes) and watch hundreds of penguins in their breeding colony. Visit Mineral World (10 minutes drive) where you can scratch for you own precious gemstones or buy lovely gifts. We are approximately a 45 minute drive from Cape Town and Stellenbosch.
