It was love at first sight between Résidence Klein Oliphants Hoek and us. We hope our little résidence steals your heart as it did ours. The English missionary, the Rev Lloyd, built it in 1888. In the following century it did duty as a school and a theatre before being put to use as a haven for guests. We will warmly welcome you in the cosy lounge with its large fireplace. You'll surely experience the atmosphere of this former chapel.
The totally renovated building has an elegant yet homely ambiance that expresses itself throughout, especially in the seven suites. We have many years of international experience as hosts to our guests. This is your guarentee for every comfort and luxury in a hospitable and relaxed surrounding. Help yourself to a drink, listen to some music or read a book. Admire the magnificent views, in the garden or by the swimming pool. |

The call of the green Franschhoek Valley is irresistible.
This valley, fruitful and blessed with abundant water is surrounded
by high mountain peaks. In times past this safe and enclosed place
was the foraging home to roaming elephants. Three hundred years ago the French Huguenots landed and established the
town of Franschhoek. In this valley they created a wine
producing region of world renown.
South Africa is one of the most beautiful countries in the world.
Franschhoek in the Western Cape has an impressive nature
and history. Sports, small game, good food, interesting wine
lands combined with a wonderful climate and above all a safe place to stay, are the keywords you are looking for.
